Thanks to all who made the 12th Annual MTC Winter Hike a successOn Sunday, January 10, 2017, nearly 60 hikers of all ages participated in the 12th Annual MTC Winter Hike. The day began with steady rain, but just minutes into the hike, the rain changed to snow. The snow blanketed the forest in white and made for a beautiful hike. As always, the Mohican trails were in great shape and the forest displayed its incredible beauty as one of Ohio’s unique natural regions. The hikes were led by volunteers from the Mohican Trails Club and all hikers enjoyed a warm fire, hot soup, cookies, and drinks afterwards! For the second year in a row, donations and Mohican Regional Trails maps sales covered club costs for the hike. Thanks to all for their generosity! Thanks to all the club members and ODNR representatives who volunteered to lead the hikes, help with set up in the commissary and for pitching in to cleanup after the event. A big thank you to Jim and Cheryl South for again taking care of the refreshments, especially Cheryl's special vegetable soup. It was a huge hit again this year. We plan to offer some exciting new hiking options for our 12th Annual MTC Winter Hike. Watch this website for future information....
